Smooth and creamy peanut sauce with a hint of lime and heat.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup dry roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 - 2 Tablespoons brown sugar to taste
  • 2 – 2 ½ Tablespoons fish sauce vegetarian substitute 2 ½ to 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon tamarind paste or 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/3 cup coconut milk.
Method
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Process until sauce is smooth.
  3. If you prefer a thinner peanut sauce, add a little more coconut milk.
  4. Hold in the fridge for up to two weeks.
