The one thing that was apparent to me as I was reviewing the posts from the summer, is that no matter how much we all like to talk about eating light and healthy, desserts are still by far very popular. It was hard to work through the numbers to figure out which stories actually would make the cut, but after much careful tabulation, here are the winners with the most views.

At #5 – Cookies-n-Cream Poke Cake 

Firmly seated at #4 – Glazed Pineapple Cake with Almond Rum Icing

Locked in at #3 – No-bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Eclair Cake

Trailing by only a few votes, at #2 – Blueberry Pie

And winning by a narrow margin, at #1 – Nutella Cheesecake

I think the Swedish group Bow Wow Wow said it well with their 1982 cover of the song “I want candy” The tune barely made the top 50 on the charts, but has become a new wave classic, and is listed 86 of the 100 top 80’s videos by VH1, and 8th on the list of 80’s one hit wonders.
